Notes of Encouragement Artist
Share a few heartfelt words on a decorated 3x5 notecard to uplift a child. Each personal note is tucked into a shoe bag and delivered on Distribution Day as a reminder that someone cares.

What to Expect on Distribution Day
Stay Informed
After signing up, you’ll be added to our Distribution Day volunteer email list. You’ll receive updates on times, locations, and important event details.
Event Timeline
- SOLE Stepping arrives: 6:45 a.m.
- Volunteers arrive: 7:15 a.m.
- Distribution begins: 8:00 a.m.
How It Works
Our goal is to have 25–35 volunteers, pairing one volunteer with one child so every student receives personal attention. When you sign up, bring a friend!
You’ll receive a bag labeled with the child’s shoe size. Inside
- A new pair of socks
- A handwritten note of encouragement
You’ll read the note together, help them remove their old shoes and socks, and fit them with their brand-new pair.
We encourage each child to test their shoes—jump, squat, run, and make sure they feel just right.
If the fit is perfect, their old shoes go in the bag, and they’re on their way. If not, our fitting specialist will ensure they receive the correct size.
The Best Part
We continue until every child in the school has been served and celebrated.
The smiles, laughter, high-fives, hugs—and sometimes happy tears—are what make Distribution Day unforgettable.
